Hello!
We have been having a problem getting our Matching Gift Donor and Matching Gift Company acknowledgements to merge in word properly. The merge fields are set up correctly like all our other acknowldgements, but for some reason when we go to merge in word (from the Print Acknowledgments report) it wants to automatically put in the constituent ID for all the merge fields instead. It might have something to do with soft crediting in Tessitura, but I cannot find the source. I also looked in acknowledgment rules and cannot find an option.
Would anyone know the source of the problem and where it is coming from?
Thank you!
Hi Christie,
This sounds like a problem with your Word file actually. If the merge fields in Word don't match what the data file says Word wants you to match them. Constituent ID is the first one, so if you just hit OK, that's what fills in.
Next time you run the print letters report save it to excel and see what the fields are called. http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v125/Content/Reporting%20Overview/Output.htm#Save
It should look something like this. http://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v125/Content/Data%20Output%20Tables/Standard%20Acknowledgement%20Data.htm
You may have customized fields, if it looks totally wrong you can change it to the default output.
Hope that helps!
Ann
