Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this would better placed in the ticketing forum, but thought I'd check here as well to see if anyone has done the same for their donors.
Currently, we release our seats in blocks depending on the demand for a perfromnace to make sure the house is properly dressed.
We've decided that higher level donors can choose to sit where they want to, even if the particular seat they want isn't on sale to the general public. We can do this on the phone or in person as the Box Office Assistant can override the block. But we're struggling to figure out how we can do this online.
So if someone from the general public booked a ticket online, they would only see the seats on sale, but if someone with a particular constituency (or promo code I guess) booked online they would be able to see the whole house for sale (including seats on general sale). Would allocation codes work for this?
Thanks!
Sounds like allocations would do the trick. They are a bit harder to manage adjustments versus hold codes but work very well with online purchases.

If using a promo code, you could tie the offer to a particular price type that has all zones enabled for members, or the reverse, use the promo code for GP that has zones disabled where you don't want them to sit.
