New Memberships Document Release

The Learning Resources team is excited to announce the release of a new document:  Memberships.  This document is a complete rewrite of the old membership document.  We've made the document easier to read and filled in a few of the missing pieces.  Newly added is a section on fixed price membership structures used by museums and arts organizations outside of North America.  You'll also find more clear explanations of membership statuses and membership trends.  Whether you are new to membership or an old hand, this document should prove to be a valuable resource.

  • Hi Kevin

This is great news. We're setting up a new membership scheme and I've been busy planning out the logistics so this new document will be really helpful.

Could I suggest something? I sometimes worry that the version of a manual I'm working from isn't the latest one as they don't have 'last revised/updated' dates on them. Would there be any value in including such a date on these documents?

    Kind regards, Alison

  • Hi Alison,

Glad the new doc came out at the right time to help you.

You're suggestion is a good one, and the good news is that most of the documents already have that information.  You'll find it near the beginning in the Document Attributes section.  Here's a screenshot:

(view this post online to see the screenshot)

The document history lists when the document was first published and the last version of Tessitura for which it was updated.  You'll find this information in all but a few old documents that haven't been revised into a our newer format yet.  Also, when in doubt about a document, feel free to email documentation@tessituranetwork.com to ask how current it is.

    Thanks for the feedback,

    Kevin

  • Oh, that's great. I'd never noticed that bit before. Despite reading every page of each document, of course...!

    Thanks, Alison
