Debbie,
You can set up a widget of Most Recent Contributions on your Dashboard which will display any gift entered over the last X number of days, or you can schedule a Fund Activity Report for all Funds to automatically run weekly and report gifts over the last X number of days as well.
I have both of these running if you need any help figuring out the schedule part.
