Knowledge Sharing: Best Practices

Former Member
Former Member $organization

Hi Everyone,

I'm new my organization and unfortunately, my predecessor isn't around to train me on Tessitura & how they used Tessitura to manage donations to the theatre. I'm used to the Raiser's Edge and I'm struggling!

I've gone through the Learning Resources a lot, and I'm realizing that the way our data has been entered over the last 5 years isn't ideal.

If anyone has a manual they've created for best practices that I could use it would be very very appreciated!

Thanks so much!

Caitrin

May I ask for the document too? I’m working on something and it’d be great to have a bit of inspiration to assist me. mjoyal@royalmtc.ca

    Caitrin,

I emailed you a couple of procedure manual documents and edited out what is related specifically to us.  Hopefully these help you out.  They should help you see all the areas we touch when processing donations.

    Caitrin,

We have a procedures manual but as Kristen says it is quite specific to our organization.   I would be happy to share with you parts of the manual that deal with general processing procedures.   I have used Tessitura for over twelve years both ticketing and development and would be happy to talk to you and help with any questions you have about processing.  I also am the one who sets up campaigns, funds and Gls and so can be a source there for you as well.   Feel free to email me stevens@mcfta.org and we can set up a phone call.
