Reporting Membership Contributions

Hello,

I am not sure what report to use to report contributions made during a specific time period by memberships towards their memberships (i.e. renewals, upgrades, but not new memberships). For example, if someone gave 25k long before their renewal for a 25k membership what report would show the date it was given, amount, and what membership? Would I use Current Membership Giving Report?

    Hi Mike!

    The Current Membership Giving report is a fantastic report in that it does detail out the contributions associated with specific membership records, their date and fund.  However, this report pulls contributions to current membership records only (Status in Active, Lapsed, Awaiting Payment, and Suspended).  Therefore, if you are trying to get contribution detail to a pending membership, this report may not get what you need.

    The Membership Detail Report may also be worth looking at.  This report can pull non current memberships and also shows the giving towards those membership records.  The contributions are summarized, not detailed, however.
