What is the easiest way to identify all Contributions that do not yet have an Acknowledgement?
I've created a List but because the "Not In" operator cannot be used and instead the "Does Not Have" operator has to be applied the majority of the List is Contributions without Acknowledgements, but not entirely - there are Contributions that have Ack's applied mixed in.
Does anyone know of way to identify only Contributions WITHOUT Acknowledgements?
Thanks!
Jolene,
Yeah, this seems like it would be a bit tricky without a customization of some sort. I don't think there are any default reports which would identify contributions without an acknowledgment logged against them in the database, and (as you're finding out in List Manager) you're going to get a list of constituents who probably have one contribution without an acknowledgment hidden within a whole stack of contributions that HAVE been acknowledged.
One workaround might be to build that list and then run it against a Fund Activity Report for a more recent period of time so that you can potentially find un-acknowledged recent gifts more quickly. But if you're trying to find unacknowledged contributions going back a while, that won't be all that useful.
Side note: what criteria have you been using for your List? I found the Acknowledgment Letter criteria and it can be used with In or Not In operators against the type of Acknowledgement.
Thank you,
Brian
