Long-time Donors

I'm trying to capture a list of donors who have given annually (at any level) for 5-7 years. I'm not sure of a simple pre-loaded way to do that, so I'm looking for guidance. Any thoughts?

Thanks so much!

  • Awesome! I was trying to wrangle something in this direction, but missed the final piece of the puzzle. Thanks for this.

  • Thanks, Marie! Between your suggestion and Lucie's below, I have confidence that I'll get it.

  • I pull a list of donors for ALL those years at a giving level of greater than or equal to $.01.

Then I have an output set built with multiple custom “Total Giving” Elements; these are parameter driven by campaign; ALL my campaigns are in a dropdown. I assign each Total Giving element to one of my fiscal years. For example, Total Giving 1 would be 16-17 Fiscal Year – I would choose the appropriate 16-17 Campaigns, I would assign Total Giving 2 to be 15-16 Fiscal years and choose the appropriate (and assuming matching) campaigns, and so on.

    Cust Sort Name

    Address info (if needed)

    Total Giving 1

    Total Giving 2

    Total Giving 3

    Total Giving 4

    Total Giving 5

    Total Giving 6

    Total Giving 7

I hope this helps. Feel free to call.

    Marie

  • Hi, Beth:

You can use lists. Make a separate list for each year’s donors. Then, set up a list that uses them all as separate lines:

    CRITERIA     OPERATOR     VALUE

    List                        Has          [current year’s donors]

    List                        Has          [last year’s donors]

List                        Has          [donors from 2 years ago]

List                        Has          [donors from 3 years ago]

List                        Has          [donors from 4 years ago]

The result should consist of only those who gave in all years.

  • I LOVE the HAS function of lists. Amazing!
