Annual Appeal - Getting my mailing list

Hi all,

I'm a very new user with Tessitura, and am trying to get my annual appeal in order. This is a super basic question, I hope. I want to generate a list with multiple segments (various donor levels, some suppressions). I know how to go in and create an extraction set -- woo!

What do I do with it after that to export it and get the relevant information I need?

Output set builder? Lists? Reports?

What is the order of operations here... thank you so much!

    There are probably several answers to that..

    But what we do with extractions that generate multiple segments that we want to deal with differently, is to

    • save  each of the relevant segments as a List, 
    • do some reality checking on the list contents
    • and then use
      • output sets or 
      • a  report (built-in or custom) 
    • to deliver the addresses and other relevant info that we need for whatever the purpose is.
