marking a one time donation as anonymous

Hi Tessitura network,

I figured that SOMEBODY has probably come across this before.

Is there a way we could mark a specific donation as anonymous? There is an area where a donor themselves can be labelled as anonymous in Program Names by adding their preferred name as “Anonymous” but I was wondering more about specific donations or something like “One-Time Anonymous.”

What do all of you do to encode this donation behavior?

We have an account called "Anonymous Donor" that we use for anonymous one-time donations and any cash collected in our Donation Box in the lobby. We find it's useful to have all of these kinds of donations in one place, easy to add or suppress from extractions as needed.

Thanks Summer,

We are looking for a way to accept donations from afrequent donors who want their one-time donation to be anonymous. As paradoxical as it sounds, we are trying to find a way to still log the donation to a person, but ensure that the donation is not counted toward their Program book giving total, and that they appear in our Program Book in the Anonymous donor category.
