This might be pretty self-evident. But our Development team is having some issues with the auto-generation of tax receipts/acknowledgements once they complete a contribution.
I am pretty new to Tessitura, but was curious if is there a way to turn off the auto-generation so I can do some testing?

I am not sure about turning off that function completely. However, you can remove/delete the ack letter type that auto attaches itself at the point of contribution entry for your test contributions.
