Honorary gift - membership level

If you are wanting to only enter a single membership this can be done manually (perhaps you enter benefit holders this way)  It can be done with a contribution from the Membership tab.

Any information on how to enter an honorary membership? Wanting to show up at a specific membership level, however no $ received.  I'm finding inkind, but again not tracking $.  Would inkind be the way to go? Just not wanting the honorary gift to show up in revenue membership totals.

In cases like these we enter the membership manually in the constituent record, selecting the appropriate level, campaign, start and end date, leaving the “Recognition Amount” field blank or entering “0”, and adding a note that it is an honorary membership and why.

You can enter a membership manually from the history tab – it would have no money associated with it. Click the Add button on the lower left of the sceen. Just be sure to include any attributes or rankings that may be created automatically when you create the membership via Contributions and of course add an explanatory note.
