moving restricted funds into current ops

I need to move money from a sustainer fund into current operations.  Is there any way to do this without making changes to the original gift?

You can adjust the gift by clicking Adjust, selecting the gift, applying a negative number equal to the amount of the original gift (thereby changing that gift to zero), then click New and enter a positive amount to the correct fund.  Now, it will show up as an adjustment on the day you make it, but there will still be the original record on the original date (albeit with a zero amount).  Be sure to attach a note to the adjustment to remind you why you did it.
