Tracking Corporate Sponsor benefits using Plans

Hi

Is anyone using Plans as a workflow tool to plan and track completed benefits that corporate partners are entitled to as part of their sponsorship deal.

We may provide Sponsors with a variety of exposure opportunities on our marketing collateral and website, invitations to networking events, as well as tickets to events (which we would continue to do in Ticket Orders).

Our Corporate Partnerships Mgr is looking to log all of the things we promise to partners as part of their sponsorship, assign the responsibility for completing those tasks to various employees (Workers?) and then track when particular elements of those sponsorship agreements were delivered.

Looking at Plans it seems like they are a good fit for this workflow planning and tracking.

Is anyone using Plans in this way?

David

  • Hi David,

We have been using Plans to track benefits for our corporate partners for almost 2 years now and it has been working extremely well. We input all of the deadlines provided by our marketing team as steps when we receive them along with any other activities (ticketing, invites, etc.) we don't want to lose sight of. Every 2 weeks we pull a Plan Summary report using specific date ranges to make sure that we are on track with our start dates for larger recognition projects and meeting our deadlines on any other activities. We also use the Plans to track our prospecting and solicitation activities for our corporate partners.

We have done a few custom tweaks to the way we present the Plan Summary info once it has been exported from Tessitura that have made things easier for us. If you want to chat further I would be more than happy to set up some time to speak!

    Best,

    Sarah

  • Thank you so much Sarah. That's valuable feedback and gives me some confidence that Plans will be suitable for our purposes.

  • Likewise, I met a gentleman at conference this past year (sorry I can't recall who now!) that is tracking these benefits in the same way successfully.  It inspired me to move away from my spreadsheet, but I just haven't had time to make the switch.
