Is it possible to adjust the Campaign on a pledge without writing off the balance and setting up a new pledge?
We have some pledges that should have been set up in future Campaigns but have been set up against this year instead. We have ten years worth of these pledges so I would rather not redo them all if possible.
I agree with Ryan that you may want to set up a help desk ticket to fix them on the SQL side - it will probably look cleaner and be much easier for you. From the user side, I wouldn't "write off" the balances to set up a new pledge. I would make an adjustment and adjust the entire pledge and payments out of that contribution (put it in an on-account payment type) and then make a new contribution from those on-account funds. There is documentation available on how to do this.
Thanks for the responses. These are just pledges, there are no payments made on these future-dated contributions. I had hoped that this was something that could be adjusted without the need to create new contributions. I will look into fixing through the back end.
