Tracking contributions by source and appeal on online donations

Hi all,

I'm going to send out a direct mail asking for donations. I want to set up a source and appeal for this so I can have a record of how successful it is. However, we also use online donations and that will be listed as one of the ways constituents can donate.

I was wondering what the process would be to keep track of the appeal on online donations. Is there a way to amend an online donation in Tessitura so you attach it to a particular source and appeal manually?

Thanks,
Sanpreet

  • All of my online donations are sent to “on-account.” That way I can manually enter the gift into the appropriate appeal(s) and source(s)

When a donation is set to automatically go into the record as processed, I believe that an appeal and source are also set to be automatically assigned. I am not sure how to change those donations, other than to make a contribution adjustment.
