Transferring plans/portfolios to the next fiscal year

Hi,

I'm having some trouble finding information about plans/portfolios, so I hope someone here can help me.

I am currently trying to transfer the exact plans we are using for this fiscal year (including the worker(s)) to the next fiscal year and am having a lot of trouble doing so.  I want to be sure that each new plan for fiscal year 2016 includes the same development officer (primary worker) as the previous year (2015).  How are your organizations going about transferring plans and retaining the same information for the following year?

I was thinking about pulling a list in list manager of all of the constituents associated with an individual development officer(primary worker) and then using this targeted list to bulk upload plans for 2016. (I would then have to do this step three separate times for each of our officers.)

Is there an easier way to go about doing this that I am overlooking?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Amanda

  • Hi, Amanda!

I see that your post is from back in December, so you may have already figured it out, but here is what we do for plan rollover once we have our lists:

    Go to:

    ·         Campaigns

    Under Campaigns, choose:

    ·         Plan Maintenance

    Under Plan Maintenance:

    ·         Enter list

    ·         Fill in:

o   2015 Individual (or whatever campaign)

    o   7AFG

o   MG 4377 (or whatever fund)

o   Type (NOTE:  could consider organizing portfolio by Type and pull in batches)

    o   Status

o   Plan Source (we might add “Rollover” and other options to the pull-down menu)

    ·         “POPULATE” (lower left corner)

    o   Tweak details

    o   Add Notes

    ·         SELECT ALL?  Or, Select / Inverse / etc.

    ·         SAVE

    Plan Campaign  IN           (select)

    Plan Design        IN           (select)

    Worker               IN           (select)

    Status                  IN           (select)

    Role                     IN           (select)

    Hope this helps!
