Plan Step to show as Reminder

I was training a new user/umployee on plans today. We added a step to a Plan record and I expected it to appear on her reminders screen. We set a due date in the near future (3 days) and I set the warn days at 5. With that overlap I would expect the plan step to appear on her list of reminders. Am I missing a step? Why can't she see the Plan Step in that way?

Thanks,

  • Hi there,

Expanding a bit further: There is a check box in the Tools Menu Dropdown/Preferences/Show reminders at login option that may help get them to show.  If that box is checked then the reminders should show if the step number of warning days is included.

Yes, expanding on what Beth said a little bit: before v12, Steps (formerly known as Reminders,) were linked to your Tessitura login. Plan Steps are assigned to any constituent account in Tessitura that's configured as a worker, even if that person doesn't have a Tessitura login. So, Tessitura needs to know which constituent account is you so it can show you your reminders, and which plans to show you when you use My Portfolio.

As as part of on-boarding new staff, I make a new account for them and send the ID # to our IT staff so they can update the user accordingly in Tessitura Security. Here's the documentation on that.

Also, though it may seem obvious I will say: often when my reminders aren't displaying correctly it's because I've forgotten to set the number of warn days. :)

    Hi Heather,

You can have plan steps show up as reminders when you have assigned a Worker and a Due Date on the plan step. If you're already doing that and they are not showing up as Reminders, then have your systems admin check the security application to make sure that the worker setup on that person's account is complete. Even if they have been setup as a Worker within the Tessitura application, if the corresponding setup was not done in Security the reminders don't seem to work.

    Hope that helps!
