Promoting list to source code?

Have created a source code with Outside TYPE and have received 5 gifts to date. Am I able to make edit this source code and change to Inside TYPE and promote?  What happens to the 5 gifts already received, certainly don't want to loose them?  thanks

    Donna,

     

    Create a new source code and promote your list to it.  Unfortunately, you cannot edit an existing source code with gifts applied to it.

    The gifts that were entered using the outside source will show up with that source in their promotion records as is.

     

    I guess I’m not understanding what it is, exactly, you are trying to achieve.
