Hi All,
We are working on revamping how we track our solicitations/plans in Tess and multi-year pledges have been a HUGE stumbling block. For example, a gift officer is asking for a three year commitment from a donor in FY16 but we don't know if we should just do one plan for the full amount or split it over the three years like it would be booked for finance. Either way we are not going to see the full picture in the plans tab because you either lose the fact that the plan is over the course of several years or all the stewardship steps are split out over three different plans.
I'd love to hear about how everyone is using the system to track this information.
Thanks!
Rhemé
I’d be keen on screen shots too!~

I just figured this out about 20 minutes ago!! When you build the pledge you can tie each year to the same plan so you will see each year in the contributions tab of the plan. You can do one plan for the full amount and then see the payments in the cont. total on the plan add up to the full value of the pledge. The contribution editor still shows one gift in each fiscal year but the plan shows the full amount.
If you roll over the date on the campaign (as long as the fund stays the same) you can see a "current" plan through the whole thing and you have one long list of plan steps.
Happy to show some screen shots of what I did over email
Good luck,
Teri
