Updating steps in plans

We would like to be able to update the due dates for steps in plans using the plans maintenance. Currently, we need to change the dates individually for each one whenever we want to update them. This is very time consuming. Is there a way to edit the plan steps as a group? Thanks!

  • I know this is from a year ago, but has anyone found a solution for this? It is quite a hindrance when you're trying to deal with thousands of plans (we are currently implementing this strategy).

    Thanks!

Following this post, as I'm about to have to go back and edit steps for a couple thousand, as well... Please Oh Please let there be a solution!!

  • Eron,

There is not currently a way to update data in steps for a group of Constituents at the same time via the Tessitura client. Plans Maintenance only allows you to add Steps, not update them.

Something like this could be done via SQL Server if done carefully and you were able to identify exactly which steps needed updating.

This would be a good enhancement request.

  • Is there a place to make enhancement requests? I would love to put my two cents in for this as well!

  • Summer,

Enhancement Requests are logged in TASK our "Help Desk" Software.  You can get there via TessituraNetwork.com by clicking on the Login Link in the Support Tickets section on the left side of this page: http://www.tessituranetwork.com/network/Support.aspx

That is assuming you have added your TASK login to your profile on TessituraNetwork.com

If you do not have a TASK login, check in with those people at your organization who do.

  • Same here! Definitely need this (and I’m only just starting Plans).

  • Yes! Was looking for this same thing today! Thanks.

  • Any updates on this? Can someone explain what the update option is for under plans maintenance?

  • There are 2 functions which are lacking in the Plans Utility, in my opinion.

    1. Inability to update existing Steps

    2. Inability to update/replace existing Workers

Both of these functions, if added, would seriously improve the utility. Particularly the Worker issue, though updating Steps is a close second.
