We have a donation from a group of people to dedicate a seat in memory of a friend of theirs.
I was just wondering how other people record donations like this on Tessitura? So far we've considered:
I'm most in favour of the last one because it seems to be the easiest way for other people to track down the donation in the future (i.e. no one but me will have access to information like who the main contact for the donation was, but people will always refer to the person that the donation was made in memory of).
I hope this makes sense.
Any insights into what other people do and why would be really helpful.

Hi Amy,
To have an accurate audit trail of your donations, the donation should probably go into the account of the person who made the gift. We track memorial gifts by using a "Memorial Gift" creditee type, so that if Person A makes a gift in memory of Person B, the gift is entered into Person A's account and soft credited (with type Memorial Gift) to Person B.
