Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to suppress both corporate and foundation contacts (eg. "grant contact 1 & 2" or "sponsorship contact 1 & 2") from fundraising ask e-appeals going out to individuals? I have thought about maybe doing a list of these contacts and using it as one of the suppression elements, but it seems like that may be hard to maintain, as we frequently add new contacts to the system.
I would appreciate any thoughts on this!
Hi Elissa,
Have you tried suppressing by "Constituent Type"? You should be able to use that criteria to exclude anything other than Households and Individuals (or anything else you wish).
Hope that helps,
Karen
If your corporate and foundation contacts are individual accounts that are affiliated to their respective corp & foundation accounts, you can make a suppression segment that pulls all of the corp & foundation accounts (Constituent Type in Corporation, Foundation, etc,) and then in the list options go to the "Add Individuals" tab at the bottom and select whatever affiliation type(s) you have set up. That's a pretty clean way to do it, if that is indeed how you've been entering your contacts!
You can also suppress based on relationship type, if you have your contacts set up that way.
