Promotion/Acct Merge Timing Issue

In gift entry you can manually enter the source code. It will then add that promotion to the account along w/ "Transaction complete" status.

Hi All,

I pulled an extraction in early May 2015. I chose a segment from that extraction on 5/26/2015 to promote. All seemed fine.

Today I received a contribution from someone who should have had this promotion on their record, however it is not in the list of sources at contribution entry. When I entered the account number for contribution entry, it told me that the account had been merged and "here is the new account number."

I checked the record, and the promotion is not listed. I checked the Transactions->Audit screen and see that the record was merged on May 15, 2015 (between my pull and my promotion).

Is there a way to now retroactively add my promotion to this one record? I would also like to add it to the original group with the promotions, so that my appeal source then just increases by 1 rather than creating a new source to capture this donor.

Any questions or help is appreciated!
