We recently restructured our campaign set up for 2015/16 as we had far too many on the go, and it meant we couldn't use the Dashboard in the way we wanted to. We have several levels of memberships (young friend, friend, great friend, etc.) and also two funds for monthly giving (no membership) and wanted to consolidate them under an Individuals 2015/16 campaign.
Having done this, it is now apparent that when an individual gives to the monthly fund, this is automatically generating a membership since the contribution amount matches that of one of the memberships. Having raised a ticket, it seems that we really should have two separate campaigns for these, which is what we had in the first place. We only have around 25 monthly givers so one of our options is to manually deactivate the membership to stop these individuals being pulled into mailing lists etc, although this is slightly messy.
Has anyone come across a similar issue, and found a better solution?
