Recurring Gift Promotion and Processing

If you are promoting and processing recurring gifts (monthly, quarterly, annually) would you please let me know how you are managing this process?  What utility are you using?  Are you able to do this through a Tessitura platform or do you outsource this, for example, using PayPal, givingfuel.com or idonate platforms? Thank you.

  • Hello Laura,

We may be old school, but we manage this in a few different ways, all internally.

    1.       We ask the donor for a credit card and use the Tessitura Pledge Billing report and use the Automatic Credit Card Billing option.

    2.       We set up direct debit (EFT) from a donor’s bank account.  We gather information from donor and our Finance department sets up the EFT.

    3.       We set up a reminder and handle it manually.

    Best regards,

    Tony

  • To: Laura Chaney – We are just starting to accept (and promote) recurring gifts, right now as a monthly checking account draw.

We are not promoting this option on our website yet, just experimenting with it, on a case-by-case basis when asking for support of our various outreach programs.

Laura Berubé in our Development department would be the person to follow-up with for details, lberube@kentuckycenter.org.

  • Same here. Patrons can set up a monthly donation online but it comes into us as a CSI then the manual process begins. We’re wondering if this will change once the chip and pin functionality comes into play in October.
