Changing a Special Activity date on mass

Hi guys,

We recently had to change the date of a planned special activity, but already had the special activity in everyone's profile on a now incorrect date. Are we able to change the date of an activity for everyone or will this have to be a manual process?

Thanks,

Josh

  • Hi, this is a thought, but would it work for you to create a new activity with the new date and correct information?  We have a status of canceled.  If you do not have it, that status can be added to the format table for special activity. You could then update the old activity date with that status and not include status type in any reports that are run.

Sorry that didn't work.  The only way that it could be mass updated then would be to create some sql code to do the update.

    Hi Michele,

Thanks but this didn't work for us, as it demands providing the date as criteria for finding the event to update, if that makes sense. Am I missing something? Using the manage special activity in reports and utlities.

    Thanks,

    Josh
