Our development department is looking into some databases for prospecting. I have heard there is a way to link Tessitura accounts to a prospecting database if so desired. Has anyone done this or have other ideas?

We've done this with Wealth Engine - we sent out a list of our constituents we were interested in, and made sure they kept the customer number in the data that they sent back. I then created some local tables to import the Wealth Engine info into and custom screen that showed the data in Tessitura. We've included some of the data in phone room leads and it seems to work well.
A couple of things to think about - we purposely did not import the data directly into corresponding Tessitura fields on purpose for several reasons. 1. We found at times the data was completely wrong (it listed one of our active board members at about 20 years older than she was) and we trust our own data a bit more. 2. We only uploaded the data once, and it will eventually be old enough to not be usable and we decided we wanted to easily restrict what info we continued to use.
