Hello,
I have recently encountered an issue regarding a few online donations made through TNEW that go directly into a fund (one that was meant to be closed -we're not sure how this happened) rather than On Account. The contribution entry was automatically created in the user's account when they made their online donation, and unfortunately does not have a receipt attached. I now need to adjust the entry to add a receipt but the donation in question is not available as an option in the contribution editor pop up screen when I try to adjust the gift.
Our organization has had issues with adjusting gifts in the past, so I have previously approached this kind of problem by removing the contribution (as a negative entry) and placing it on account, and then creating a new contribution with the appropriate receipt attached by taking the same money off account. However, in this case, I can not even access the original donation in the contribution editor in order to remove or adjust it.
Has anyone else encountered this issue before or have any suggestions on how it might be resolved?
Thank you for your help.
Hi Michelle,
If the contribution was made on the web, it would have been processed in a ticket order which has slightly different rules. You will need to make the adjustment and move the money to On Account via the ticket order. Then as long as you have access to the On Account money, you should be able to process the gift in the contribution editor using that money.
Hope this helps
Rebecca
In regards to the TNEW issue of contributions being pointed to a fund rather than on account, this entry is found in LTR_TNEW_Contrib_type where you tell the system where the money should be stored for online purchases. Also, for simple contributions in checkout this entry is found in LTR_TN_Express_Web_Defaults. In both of these system tables to have to specify either on account or fund ID. If somehow the money ended up in a fund that was not specified in either of these tables, then I would recommend opening a TASK ticket in the Web Products Workspace for our team to investigate.Thank you,

Thank you both for the help!
