We are struggling with how to extract information from Tess about multiple workers assigned to a plan in a format we can manipulate.
The Plan Report only includes the primary worker when exported as a CSV. When exported as an excel document, all of the workers are visible, but we haven't figured out an easy way to get them out of the formatted excel document in a format we can use - we lose the plan and and constituent IDs.
Has anyone figured out how to re-format the excel output so it is more useful, or developed custom reports or output set elements to get this information? We would love to hear from you if you have solved this problem!
Hi Jane,
I've struggled some with this as well. I'm not sure what your specific needs are, but one workaround I found for my team was to add a custom column to the Portfolio view that shows a worker of a certain type for each plan.
For example, we have a worker type for board member solicitors. I set up a Portfolio column to show the board solicitor for each plan. The big drawback is that if there's more than one worker on a plan with the "Solicitor" worker type, it only shows the first one. But, as a workaround this has been fine for our purposes. In general if I can copy to clipboard from the portfolio screen I prefer that approach to exporting the Plan Summary report to CSV or Excel.
I expect we will be creating a custom Plans report in the near future regardless.
Hi JaneDid you ever find a solution for dealing with Plans that have more than one worker?ThanksJess LevySFMOMA415-357-4108
We were told that Tessitura was working on a fix – don’t know if this has gone anywhere.
In the meantime, I had our IT person create a custom output set element that pulls the second worker for one particular campaign (our capital campaign). I then have to combine the information from that output set with the output from the plan report to get what I needed.
I hope this is still on a to-be-fixed list somewhere – it is a very complicated way to get the data I need.
Jane

I'm looking at trying to get Worker Role and Worker Type added to the custom portfolio columns and wondered if anyone would be willing to share their code rather than me trying to reinvent? I'm also trying to add worker & role & type to output set builder if there's someone willing to share that code as well?
