Membership Macro and Micro

Hello all, can anyone clear up a membership set up query for me  - I am still unsure if there is an automatic downgrade or upgrade configuration bewtween different membership organisations (these also have different Membership categories). I have previously thought that ‘Macro’ related to movement between membership organisations and ‘Micro’ within a membership organisation. I know now that the ‘Micro’ trend relates to Membership Category but no automatic ‘upgrade’ or downgrade’ happens when testing movement between these.

cheers

  • Brian,

This is the way I understand it:

Macro Trend: records changes between and within levels

Upgrade – move up one level or more

Increase – same level but higher gift amt

Downgrade – move down one level or more

Decrease – same level but lower amount

    New – new membership

Same – same level, same amount

Micro Trend: records changes between and within categories

Will show as New when moving from one category to the next

If staying within the same category it will mirror that of the Macro trend

If the membership is new or reinstated both Macro and Micro trends will show as New

  • Thanks Dale,  sort of had it but that’s cleared it up!

    Cheers

    Brian
