One of our development people is leaving us in about a month. She has set up a lot of reminders for herself both as CSIs and as solicitation tasks. Since many of thee reminders are for tasks to be done next year or the year after that, it's important that her replacement get these reminders.
I don't see how to move these reminders to another user. We're in version 11.4 now, but I hope to be in 12.1 before she leaves.
Hoping for wise guidance...
Will setting the Reminder Proxy User ID do the trick in the meantime? If you’ve never used it, it allows another user to manage and complete any tasks that are assigned to you. Our executive assistant’s use it to manage senior level staff tasks and some of us also use it when staff members go on vacation.
If this seems like it could work, simply log in as the staff member that is leaving, click Tools, then Preferences, then choose the new staff member’s user id in the Reminder Proxy User ID drop down and… voilà! The new member can manage your exiting staff member’s tasks!
Or maybe your DBA can write a SQL query to update the solicitor field in the TX_SOL_TASK table where these tasks are stored. But, I may be wrong about that. If so, I am sure some DBA out there in the network can correct me.
Best,
Jason
