Showing Pledges as Recurring Payments on a Bank Statement

Hello,

We have a donor that has been asking for a few months now (it's "not a big deal" but apparently it's a big deal, ya know?) to have her monthly pledge payments show up as Recurring payments on her bank statement. I guess she gets some sort of cash back incentive and recurring payments give her slightly more cash back than a regular payment.

After speaking to her bank and our bank and a variety of other people I've been told that this must happen within Tessitura somewhere. Aside from making it a pledge with a billing schedule (which we already do), I really have no idea what more we can do within Tess to accommodate this request.

Has anyone had to do this before? Is there a way to do it?

  • This is all I can think of…The billing schedule should be what “processes” the card for you each month. Is the report processing the card for you or are you going in and manually running the card each month?

  • Her payment is processed monthly using the billing report. I honestly can't think of anything we're not already doing to try and make this happen for her. I'm thinking this is simply something Tess isn't currently able to do?
