I had trouble enter such a contribution.
One patron made a contribution with ticket purchase and as usual the ticketing office set the contribution aside for me to enter in contribution batches. When I tried to enter this contribution the batch automatically switched me to the household account where I could not see the on account $$ in the money bag. Assuming it only exist in the individual account.
What do I do?

This is kind of a short cut, but I’ve used it occasionally to move funds from the Household or Individual or vice versa. This happens so few and far in between for us so if you foresee this as a more consistent issue with your organization, then you may need to find another permanent solution.
On the record with the On Account fund, I use that amount to buy a gift certificate in a ticket order. I then use the gift certificate in a new ticket order under the record I want to move the funds into and put the funds On Account there.
