I'm in the process of setting up Campaigns, Appeals and Funds ahead of our new Financial Year starting in September.
What's confusing me is Sources. It looks as if last year a colleague managed to replicate Sources across several Appeals and I am unsure how to do this. That colleague has since left and I was hoping someone here might have an idea.
Any suggestions very much appreciated!
Replicating the names/descriptions of sources in different appeals is easy enough, but the source numbers would be distinct. This pertains only to setup, though.
I’d suggest reviewing *transaction* sources, which tend to be determined by your appeals-sources setup, compared to *contribution* sources in your records, if your setup doesn’t follow the pattern of ‘same name-different number.’
It’s a cinch to flip sources ‘after the fact’ on the contributions table, so it might give the appearance of sources that cross appeals on some reports or I guess I might say, from a contributions perspective. This relationship between sources and appeals that have been flipped around after contribution entry wouldn’t be reflected in setup, just in reports and on individual records.

That's really helpful. In all my worry, I was looking at the names of the sources, rather than the numbers and can see now that they were all distinct last year.
Bit silly it required a post here to see that, but much appreciated nonetheless!
