Tracking 3 annual fund asks

Hello,

Our Sr. Dir of Development is wanting to track the 3 ask amounts that we would use all season in direct mail for each donor/prospect.  For example when we offer a choice for a donor to give $50,  $125 or  $250, we want to track these 3 amounts each year in Tessitura and analyze how their giving correlates with these 3 amounts.  Does anyone have a process like this?  I was thinking about creating a "hack" using solicitations, but there are a slew of issues around that.

Happy to hear any thoughts around this.

Thanks!

  • To me this sounds like something that could normally be accomplished with sources, but then a lot of folks seem to bend sources to other uses (since they’re easily manually manipulatable later in the process).

  • I agree with John,

Having a source code for each of the ask amounts with the final gift entered in the solicitations would work. You can then pull the final totals using revenue by source & appeal to make lovely charts & graphs.

BTW, had a great time in Dallas, John!
