Pledge Reconciliation

You need to use the Pledge Receivable by Period to see activity on a month-by-month basis. That report is really useful but can be quite confusing at first until you figure out that you define Current Period when you set up the parameters of the report. So read the manual on this one carefully!

We switched over to using pledges for our monthly gifts recently and I am having difficulty finding how to best reconcile with my finance department.  We had been using the "New Contributions Report" on a monthly basis for reconciliation, but this does not reflect the pledge amounts that are made after their initial set up.

I find the pledge reports available do not allow you to specify amount received in just a month, for instance.  Even when using the "Pledge Receivable Report" and entering an end date (say, the 31st of the month), it will still pull pledges received after that date. (eg I put the date parameters as June 1, 2014-July 31, 2014 and it still pulls August received amounts).

Is there a report I am missing or not understanding?
