Hello Networkers,
We have a unique Tessitura Household situation involving two VIPs.
A VIP named Mrs. X's husband passed away and a separate VIP named Mr. Y’s wife passed away. In an interesting twist, the two widows have met, fallen in love and married.
Now, they would like to combine everything; their names in the program, their partner with a player, their subscription seating and their credit card information.
We obviously do not want their history to be affected, but we would like to honor their request and combine them as a new Household.
What's the best way to do this, while ensuring that their ticketing, individual contribution history, etc. won't be negatively affected? Please, remember, both individuals have a rich history, with sizable contributions.

Could you maybe do something like the following?: For each of the VIPs, pull up their old household records, go to the relationships tab, and then set an end date on the affiliation for the non-deceased person’s account. Then create a new household record and affiliate the two surviving VIPs who have fallen in love (what a great story!). This way, you’re still preserving the old households, but also recognising the fact that as of a certain date, those households changed.

Kathleen has an interesting idea - but remember that you can only have one primary affiliation to a household. So you could technically "unprimary" the old household affiliation, and "primary" the new household affiliation for the non-deceased members. But when the affiliation is no longer primary, you will no longer see the non-deceased individual's info or activity in the old household account. Just a thought. This all depends on where you are storing transactions and other activity as well.
