Hello,
I've noticed that for the year 2014 (or second year live with Tess), many of our members are still flagged as "active", even though the calendar is beyond their expiration date. Is this something anyone else has experienced? If so, was there a back-end issue discovered in the set up of membership, or was it an update process issue? How did you go about resolving it?
Your input is appreciated!
Best wishes,
-Elisabeth
Hi Elisabeth,
I’m not certain, but setting the end date way into the future, might cause a membership to be deactivated before you want.
You might want to schedule the membership update utility report to run regularly depending on your setup, and for the end date select the option of report run date.

Heather,
Thanks for this info! We actually discovered this shortly after I posted in the forum. Turns out that it had only been set up to run through the end of 2013. We've set the new end date far in the future.
I appreciate you and others getting back to me so quickly!
Happy Friday,

Hi Elisabeth -
Memberships are not updated automatically - you need to be running the Membership Update Utility in accordance with your membership rules - when you run it will vary on your organization and the rules of your membership. Just be careful and run it in review mode and on your test system first!
