Does anyone know whether there's a way to set up the hotlist function in multiple sources or an entire appeal? Our sources by default are set to "none" but barring a few, I would like most of them set for "Cont" only.

There is no way to update multiple sources at once on the front end, but your DBA should be able to help you make that update on the back end. It's a pretty straight forward thing to do in SQL Server.
One related thing I wanted to point out is that if you are looking to limit sources to contributions only, you want to set Usage to Cont, not Hotlist. Hotlist is used to make sources float to the top of the list. If you set Hotlist to Cont it will make those sources appear at the top of the list of sources when in contributions, but they will still be on the list in their normal positions for ticket orders. That might actually be what you want to do, but I've seen some confusion in this area before, so I wanted to point out the difference in case it isn't what you want to do.
