Hotlists

Does anyone know whether there's a way to set up the hotlist function in multiple sources or an entire appeal? Our sources by default are set to "none" but barring a few, I would like most of them set for "Cont" only.

  • Back end only as well.

By the way, the trick for updating the Usage or Hotlist fields from the back end is you need to find an easy way for your DBA to group or exclude sources for update. Like all sources in these ten appeals. Or these fifteen source numbers. In the end it might be just as fast to manually update them.

  • Following up on this from what I've read - i was thinking about writing something that would update ticketing appeal source numbers to be on the hotlist if they've been promoted in teh last 30 days and then taking them off the hotlist once 30 days has passed.  While all our sources are (sadly) built to last the entire fiscal year, perhaps this might funnel more sales into current source numbers.  Is this feasible?  it seems pretty easy to do in sql, but not sure if it's SMART to do.

  • I don't think there would be a problem doing that technically, but the default sort order for sources is creation date starting with the most recently created, so I'm not sure putting sources promoted in the last 30 days on the hot list will result in a sort that's much different than the default.
