v12 custom plans elements

Hi!

I am starting to work on planning for our upgrade to v12 and was wondering what custom elements other organizations are using (or are contemplating using) in the new plans module. Would anyone be willing to share that? Also, did you create custom reports or list/extraction criterion to pull that information back out of the system?

Thanks!

  • Hi Jess!

We did a little bit of revamping of our Solicitation setup when we converted to plans, so we made the decision to use plans for a wee bit before adding a bunch of custom items that we may not really need.

V12 includes a bunch of output set elements for plans, we added one element that was Plan Step Note by Type (which takes a parameter) to allow us to whittle those down in the output a little.

The new Plan Summary report is a pretty good start for reporting - although I'm already finding people asking for this and that. I imagine we'll have a few custom reports soon enough. We did have some custom solicitation reports which we converted over to plans and people are continuing to use those.

Sorry it's a rather vague 'we're waiting and seeing' answer, but that's what we're doing!
