Has anyone found out if there is a way to mass-edit or update existing workers on plans in v12?
Currently in v11, I have the option to edit all aspects of solicitations - including what workers and solicitors I'd like on the plan.
In v12, I don't see a way to mass-edit workers. Being able to update workers and edit who is primary would be extremely helpful in keeping the data clean.
Since we use plans on all of our solicitations (including a large number of annual fund asks), I'm hoping there is a way to take care of updates like this without needing to manually edit the individual plans on every constituent record once added.

You’ve hit on exactly what I was trying to describe. Since the primary worker is so important in v12, I am worried about not being able to update that person en masse. There is a checkbox already to determine if a plan should be added to a worker’s portfolio – adding another checkbox for primary would make managing all of our plans much simpler.

Yeah, we've found that once you set the primary worker, you cannot update/change that primary worker en masse. I thought I put in an enhancement/holy cajole type of ticket in about it when we first found it in v12 - however, I can't find it which means that it might have fallen through the cracks.
We're in the same boat as you with a bazillion plans that we sometimes have to transfer/move in bulk. You can *add* as many workers in different roles as you want in bulk, but I think you are really asking about that primary worker functionality, yes?

We're in total agreement! I'm just opening up TASK in another window to put that in as an enhancement request, since it apparently didn't make it out when we first stumbled on this. :D
Until then we've been fiddling with how to do it via some back end procedure or report. I'll let you know if we settle on something we feel is solid and not just some sql voodoo.
Hi Heather and Laine, did you ever get an update on this? We've come across a situation where we've got a staff member leaving and need to re-assign all of her plans to a new worker. For historical reasons, it would be nice to put an end-date on one worker, and a start-date on another, but I've gone through the documentation and can't find that functionality anywhere.

The enhancement is definitely in the pot - I haven't heard anything from anyone regarding it yet. That's not unusual, I wouldn't expect it out in 12.1 as I didn't put it in until 12.1 was well into development. With the agile / responsive method of release, and depending on how that enhancement falls into the mix, we could (and hopefully will) see it earlier than version 14. But that's just me wishful thinking. :D
Any further progress on this? I agree, not being able to update who the primary worker is, is a total drag.

Looks like this thread is a couple years old and I can't find anything elsewhere about it, so I'm curious if anyone has any idea if it has changed/been worked on, or if anyone came up with a solution on their own.

I haven't found anything and have just spent the last few days updating the info in the back end, changing worker roles/ID's etc.
All seems to be working fine, but it's a long process.
