Hi Tessitura,
This is our first year using Tessitura at our annual gala, and we are hoping to keep our processes mostly the same as we have in the past. With our previous database, we were able to enter gifts the night of the gala, but not charge or close the batch until the following Monday, once we've had a chance to review everything.
Is this possible in Tessitura? My first instinct is to just "Hold" a Development Controlled batch until the following week, but I am not sure how long those batches can be held. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on this?

There is no time limit on closing a controlled batch. I generally wouldn't recommend holding for more than a couple days and for the scenario you describe it makes a lot of sense.
