I have the pleasure to be working with the staff on BAM on integrating our Elevated Events / Gala activities fully into Tessitura. i.e. we never really used the History - Events function.
I have some questions that I can’t seem to find in the documentation or in any of the great conference presentations on Elevated Events:
A)
We would like to mass populate some information on the accounts of people that we are inviting complimentary to our galas.
Can this be done out of extractions? I only saw a way of doing so in appeals / promotions, but maybe I am missing something?
Can a level be mass populated somehow? Did someone find a workaround for that by any chance?
B)
I added an event record manually with a custom event status (verbal pledge)
Then I entered a contribution on this account, and the status did NOT change.
Does the status only adjust if it was Invited to Attending (TR_INVITATION_STATUS 1 to 3)? It an not adjust from any other status into status 3?

Dale is correct; there is no way to promote invitations directly from the extraction screen. What you can do is when extracting, generate the source codes but un-check "Create Promotions Now"; this will create a source for each segment (if extracting to a file) or a source for the whole extraction (if extracting to a list) but no sources will be promoted. Once you have extracted you can promote all the sources related to the appeal using the Promotions button on the Appeal > Sources tab. When creating the promotions make sure that the "Create Event Invitations" is checked. This obviously still only works if the appeal is associated to an elevated event campaign. You will still have to update the level manually but can easily do that from the Attendees tab in Campaigns
