Membership Questions...Answered!

Hello everyone! The Planning Committee for this year's conference has begun its work, and this year the Network has seen fit to add a new track: Membership! Clare Kiklowicz of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts and I will be leading a crack committee of Tessitura users and staff to develop content for this first-ever set of sessions. We are specifically focused on the Membership Module within Tessitura, which can be used to track industry standard museum memberships and benefits or can be used more creatively to segment audience groups or track other details.

We want to know: What are your most burning membership questions or challenges? Introductory or advanced, small organization or large, we'll be trying to create sessions that will be useful for as many people as possible.     One of the big things at the NT is making the system work for Corporate memberships. Though we employ the Membership module in the normal way to create these memberships, however they are often customised or bespoke, and also there are far fewer members it can be difficult to track the various benefits we allocate. For example, we offer these types of things that we need to track, per members:

     

    ·         Invitations to Press Night Receptions

    ·         Invitations to ‘Gold’ Evenings

    ·         Opportunities to host client entertainment evenings

    ·         Tickets to talks and backstage tours

    ·         And more

     

    All of which are quantifiable, we need to track the quantity and the usage. So far we’ve found no easy way to do this.

     

    So, a session on Corporate Memberships, and specifically this sort of benefit tracking would be very useful.
