Monthly Giving Programs

I'm trying to develop a strategy for increasing our monthly giving program. We implemented our monthly giving program -- the Encore Club -- about 3 years ago, and have only seen modest growth.

Does anyone else have a monthly giving program? What strategies are you guys using to encourage people to give monthly?

    We have scheduled credit card auto billing to run daily; it only charges what’s due on a particular date. If it runs and nothing is due, the report is blank.

     

    This allows us to charge patrons on a date of their choosing.

    Lucie,

    Thanks for the perfect solution to the different dates.  A daily schedule would need to be created for each campaign but that is very doable.  Currently we are using ticklers as reminders and because we have so few right now that system works very well to.  We set the tickler up as a reminder and as each month reminder is completed the new month is created automatically.  Looks like I am setting up some scheduled reports today.

    Are you still looking for and then closing and posting the batch? We haven’t done this process yet, but are moving in that direction. My understanding of the process was that it opens a batch, so you would have empty batches on the days that nothing is due?
