Pledge Adjustment

If you want to keep it as one pledge, you can do an adjustment and increase the pledge amount of the original pledge and adjust the billing schedule to reflect the new payment.  We have also  created an adjustment reason of Increase Pledge for those instances.

I have a monthly donor who has increased the size of his total yearly gift. Is there any way to increase the total pledge without writing off the current pledge?

There are few choices:

1)      The easiest way to do this is to just make an adjustment on the current pledge increasing it by the amount appropriate and adjust the payment schedule accordingly.   

2)      Cancel the balance of the current pledge and enter a new pledge for revised amount

3)      The second way is to add a pledge for the increase – and set up the payment schedule (credit card charge will show 2 separate charges)

There will be your own site specific questions –Campaign, acknowledgement etc. but write off to a bad debt account should not be needed.
