Campaign Thermometer

I am wondering if there is a way to create a campaign thermometer in Tessitura, T-Stats, or Dashboards.

When viewing a campaign in Tessitura, you can set a goal, and Tessitura will list what percentage of the goal has been reached. However, I am looking for a visual component to this: a bar graph of sorts that will show the campaign goal amount at the top, with a marker of the actual contributions received.

So far, I can't seem to find a way to include the goal on any graphs, only the actual contribution amount.

  • I would be interested in the same.

  • Our former operations manager, who's now at the Goodman, Paul Kappel, created a thermometer to display on our website for a recent campaign.  He used REST service interceptors to pull the data from the appeal into a web widget.  I don't know the details of how he set it up, but I do know that it was a quick project for him.

  • You might check with Paul Woods from Tessitura Network.  He did a presentation at the conference and included a graphic in his slide of a Dashboard widget that is a linear thermometer.  The session was Custom Screens and Dashboards Widgets and is available in the conference archive under Training Sessions.

    Hope this helps!

  • I did indeed make one of these! It shows current and relative goals against targets for a campaign in an SSRS report designed to be used in an SSRS Dashboard Widget. It changes colour and everything!

I have checked and I thought the session materials (other than the PPT) where posted to the archive however they are not! I have put a zip file together of all of the session materials (relevant SQL and SSRS files) so you can take a look at this yourself if you wish. I have attached them here:

  • Here is an alternate download location in case anyone has trouble with the above link.

  • I can confirm Paul has also created a thermometer widget for internal use here at the Goodman. I'm sure he'd be happy to share.
