Hi All,
Our development department would like to be able to invite certain people to things based on other people being invited to them. Specifically, they want to invite Tom and his wife Jane to everything that Tom's parents John and Sue are invited to, and Bob to everything that his brother Jim is invited to. The best solution that I can come up with for this is to create a relationship type ("CC Invitations" or something to that effect), assign it to these people, and use the Add Associations/Add Individuals/Add Groups options to add them to all relevant invitation lists. This seems like a lot of clicks and a lot of remembering, though, to get Tom, Jane, and Bob invited to a few events. Does anyone do anything similar that requires a little less clicking and remembering to achieve the same effect?
Thanks,

Your suggested solution should work fine. Even if it adds a few steps, they are in areas of lists and extractions we should all probably pay attention to, anyway.
For the few people that we have in that situation at City Center, we don't use that method because we include them on more than just invitations. We give them full-fledged, manually-added honorary memberships so we will pull them for everything member related. We also give them a "No Renewals" Renewal_type so we don't send them a renewal notice and so we can take them out of statistical analysis.
